"Acting Out: Voices from the Theatre in Palestine"
Via Zoom

Join us for readings from and discussion about "Acting Out: Voices from the Theatre in Palestine," a collaborative work between 50 Palestinian actors, actresses, directors and theater managers, and Jonathan Daitch. During two extended visits to the West Ban in 2015 and 2016, and European tours in 2017 and 2018, and by video conferences with Gaza artists, Daitch amassed approximately 100 hours of recorded conversations, which were then transcribed and edited. Acting Out provides a forum for artists to evoke their theaters, their professional practices, their lives, and Palestinian culture. Their words are personal and powerful, showing that their work is above all an act of creation. The book will be published in December of 2021.
