Join the Climate Change Initiative and the Department of Environmental Earth and Atmospheric Sciences Thursday, Oct. 14 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in welcoming Helen Waldorf of ASTM International for their presentation on ASTM's Climate and Community subcommittee.

We are already experiencing extreme weather events with a sever human toll, but there’s no standard approach to prioritizing communities for resiliency planning projects. However, the ASTM Subcommittee E50.07 on Climate and Community is developing language, tools, and standards to address the disproportionate impact of climate on communities. Helen will discuss how members of this subcommittee hope to write consensus standards on: terminology; mapping underserved communities; environmental social and governmental disclosures; and water resources. All are welcome to participate!
