Want to get insider perspective on the National Science Foundation (NSF) panel review process? Join us at our next Enlightened Bites Lunch-and-Learn workshop (https://www.uml.edu/research/events/lunch-lecture/) on Monday, Oct. 4 from noon to 1 p.m. where three UMass Lowell faculty will participate in a panel discussion about their experiences as reviewers. The panel includes:
- Pradeep Kurup, Distinguished University Professor, Department Chair, Civil and Environmental Engineering
- Marina Ruths, Professor, Chemistry
- Jenifer Whitten-Woodring, Interim Dean, Honors College; Associate Professor, Political Science; Director, Global Studies Ph.D. Program
Panelists will outline the NSF review process, discuss the elements reviewers are looking for, and provide tips for your next NSF proposal.

The Enlightened Bites (E-Bites) brown bag lunch workshop series is sponsored by the Office of Research and Innovation and spans a variety of topics including proposal writing, grant funding, campus resources and community and corporate engagement. The E-Bites workshops provide a conversational and active space to share expertise, brainstorm ideas, generate interdisciplinary collaborations and improve proposal competitiveness.
