The increase in COVID-19 cases across the country is tragically but predictably focused on areas with low rates of vaccination. While any rise is cause for concern, Massachusetts’ rate of increase is far lower and is providing a real-world demonstration of the protective power of the COVID-19 vaccines.

In April 2021, UMass Lowell conducted an anonymous survey asking employees to report their intentions to be vaccinated by the start of the Fall semester. Then, 95% of faculty and 87% of staff indicated that they were already or planned to be fully vaccinated by fall.

As we finalize our plans to ensure a safe academic year, maximizing employee vaccination numbers is key. UMass Lowell is requesting that you answer the two anonymous questions about your COVID-19 vaccination plans in this brief Qualtrics survey.

Please respond by 5 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 5 and thank you for taking a few seconds to share an update on your status.
