I’m pleased to share that through our partnership with Lowell General Hospital, 400 additional COVID-19 vaccination appointments for a first dose of the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine have been made available exclusively for the UMass Lowell community.

All UMass Lowell students, as well as all faculty and staff, are eligible to sign up for the Tuesday, May 4 appointments.

To sign up, you must use your university email address and register through this form. Immediately after signing up, you will receive a confirmation email from the university. Lowell General Hospital will notify you of your specific time slot 48 to 72 hours prior to your appointment, which will be between 7:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. Thursday or Friday at the Cross River Center at 1001 Pawtucket Blvd. Please bring your UML ID to your appointment.

Students in need of transportation to travel between East Campus and their appointment should contact UMass Lowell Transportation Services at 978-934-2222 at least 30 minutes before they need to arrive.

Your appointment time, which will be confirmed by Lowell General Hospital in the coming days, will not be able to be changed, so please ensure your availability for both days and time periods before signing up. All supervisors and faculty members are asked to be flexible with employees’ and students’ work and class schedules to ensure members of the university community are able to be vaccinated as soon as possible.

Recognizing that appointments may fill up quickly, UMass Lowell and LGH intend to continue offering appointments weekly on Thursdays and Fridays. Any individuals who sign up after all April appointments are filled will be automatically added to the next week’s appointment offerings.

Please remember that vaccine doses remain in high demand. You are asked not to schedule an appointment using this process if you already have an appointment at any other site. LGH tracks every appointment and dose to avoid wasting precious vaccine. Help us honor our partnership with LGH so all doses can be used.

If you have any questions about this process or the cancellation of unneeded appointments, contact director of community relations Patty Coffey at Patricia_Coffey@uml.edu.
