Please join Prof. Emeritus Jesse Heines on March 9, 2021 at 12:30 p.m. for a panel discussion on "Civil Rights: A History," a 4-part video series on the four phases of systemic racism delineated by Bryan Stevenson: slavery, lynching, segregation, and mass incarceration.
The series attempts to show how these episodes in our history continue to contribute to the racism and civil rights problems that we have today. Further information and links to the videos can be found at https://jesseheines.com/civilrights.
Panelists:
- Prof. C. Shawn McGuffey, Boston College, Associate Professor of Sociology and Director of African & African Diaspora Studies
- Prof. Brenna Wynn Greer, Wellesley College, Associate Professor of History
