Topic: The Morgridge Entrepreneurial Bootcamp at University of Wisconsin-Madison is an intense weeklong program for STEM graduate/post-doc students. This session focuses on the best practices, measures and lessons learned in creating a high impact program that scales and aligns with the unique needs of this student population. This program has been attended by more than 700 STEM graduate/post-doc students over the past 14 years. The program participants give it a Net Promoter Score >90 and alumni have gone on to start numerous companies and raise >$180M in funding. This webinar will discuss the best practices we have learned over the years. This will include: key design attributes, techniques to attract students from traditionally underrepresented groups, opportunities to engage the campus/potential donors and key metrics.

Presenter:
Dan Olszewski is the Director of the Weinert Center for Entrepreneurship at the Wisconsin School of Business. Over the past 14 years he has taught thousands of students and is the recipient of various school-wide teaching awards.
Prior to joining the UW, Olszewski was CEO and Chairman of Parts Now!/Katun. During his tenure, revenues at the imaging supplies company increased from $26MM to over $400MM from the organic growth of Parts Now! and the acquisition of Katun Corp. With the assistance of private equity sponsors, he led the successful buyout of the founder in 1999.
Before joining Parts Now! Olszewski was a consultant at McKinsey and Company, with a focus on strategy, supply chain, technology and finance. He has also worked for IBM, the Federal Reserve Board of Governors, and Yasuda Fire and Marine Insurance in Tokyo.
Olszewski currently serves on the board of First Business Financial Services (NASDAQ:FBIZ) and the National Guardian Life Insurance Company. He has previously served on the board of various startups, mid-sized businesses and non-profits.
Olszewski graduated from UW-Madison with a bachelor's degree in Economics and Computer Sciences, and received an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
