DifferenceMaker® is a campus-wide program that encourages creative thinking in all UMass Lowell students (Freshman-PhD and all majors). DifferenceMaker provides resources to help students pursue their ideas (product, nonprofit, club, curriculum, application, etc.), and solve real-world problems they are passionate about: www.uml.edu/differencemaker.
Past DifferenceMaker student ideas include: (1) developing curriculum to educate students in combatting online terror recruitment; (2) developing a safety jewelry app. (3) educating high school students about drunk driving through the performing arts; (3) helping students in need of food assistance; (4) developing 3D prosthetic hands for children in need, (5) informing voters about upcoming elections and candidate policies; (6) creating a water filtration system for developing nations; and many more.
Don’t let your students miss out on the chance to compete in the 2021 $50,000 Idea Challenge.
