In collaboration with IT, the Provost's office has put together a series of faculty development workshops designed in response to student and faculty feedback. This PELT (Provost's Excellence in Teaching and Learning) Series will address pedagogical and technical classroom issues. You can check out the schedule and access the logins for 16 different sessions by visiting https://sites.uml.edu/vtr/resources/pelt2021/.

No pre-registration is required. As with all PELT workshops, these will be recorded and posted for future viewing and reviewing.

The series includes a very special session: "What Students Need Faculty to Know," which will be held on Monday, Jan. 11 at 3 p.m. We are delighted to include student voices in this PELT series! The session will be presented by two of our student leaders, who will discuss the results of an undergraduate survey administered by the Student Government Association on the Fall experience and other issues students want their professors to understand. You'll hear many useful insights and student suggestions, so please make an effort to join us for that hour.

As we gear up for another challenging semester, I want to thank you for all you are doing to ensure that our university remains a place where students and faculty can connect and learn.
