The UMass Lowell Department of Art and Design is thrilled to present the Spring 2025 Animation & Interactive Media + Studio Art BFA Exhibition. The exhibition will be on display in the University Gallery, the Mahoney Student Gallery, and the Mahoney hallways from May 6-17, 2025. There will be a screening of the Animation & Interactive Media projects and an awards ceremony for all the BFA candidates on Thursday, May 8 from 5-6 p.m. in the Comley-Lane Theatre followed by a reception from 6-7:30 p.m. in Mahoney Hall at 870 Broadway Street. These events are free, accessible, and open to all.

The BFA candidates in Studio Art and Animation & Interactive Media hail from far and wide. This year’s candidates came to us from Haverhill, Lawrence, Lowell, Mansfield, Methuen, Middleboro, North Andover, Saugus, Springfield, Tewksbury, Tyngsboro, Westford, and Woburn, Massachusetts. We also have graduates from La Palma, California, the Dominican Republic, Vietnam (Hanoi), and Fort Knox, Kentucky.
Their projects include 2D and 3D animation, video games, pitch bibles, graphic novels, drawing, painting, photography, printmaking, and sculpture. These projects are the culmination of their year long capstone projects for the BFA degree.
Gallery hours are Monday-Friday 10 a.m.- 4 p.m.
Parking is available in the Wilder metered lot, located at the intersection of Wilder Street and Bachelder Street. The entrance to the lot is located on Bachelder Street. After 3:30 p.m., visitors may park in any open campus lot.
