Join us for a heartfelt afternoon celebrating our Golden Alumni! Reconnect with lifelong friends, meet fellow alumni from across the decades and enjoy lunch together on campus as we honor the Classes of 1970, 1965 and 1960 celebrating their 55th, 60th and 65th reunions. Commemorate the memories, milestones and River Hawk pride that unite us all. Plus, take part in a “far-out” experience that offers a fresh look at the campus you once called home.

UML Pickleball Homecoming Slam 2025!

We’re turning up the energy this fall with our Pickleball Homecoming Slam, and you’re invited to be part of the action! This tournament isn’t just about dinks and drives—it’s about giving back. We’re teaming up with the UML Campus Recreation Center to raise funds for a Lowell community organization and to support ongoing CRC facility improvements. The earlier you register, the more momentum we build with sponsors—and the bigger impact we can make together.

Intramural Champion of Champions

The UML Campus Recreation Department is excited to host a special multi-sport tournament during the 2025 Homecoming Weekend, exclusively for past winners of the Intramural Cup. Established in 2006, the Intramural Cup was designed to boost student participation in our Intramural Sports Program by awarding points for joining leagues and tournaments—with top finishers earning even more. While tournament participation is by invitation only, alumni are encouraged to come out, cheer on their favorite teams and show their River Hawk pride! After the final whistle, keep the celebration going at the Alumni Takeover event at the Tsongas Center that evening.

Get groovy as you reunite with friends from Greek Life, Res. Life and Orientation! Step back in time with ‘70s-themed fun—enjoy hors d’oeuvres, strike a pose at our selfie spots and show off your best retro look as we celebrate 50 years since the founding of the University of Lowell, our predecessor institution that helped shape what the university is today.  Make new memories with activities for all ages, score a commemorative giveaway and reconnect with old friends, including some special guests! Make it a reunion to remember by rallying your crew: alumni groups with the highest turnout will be recognized during the game. Don’t forget to wear your UML pride—ribbons will be available to highlight your student involvement. Who will show up with the most spirit? 
Following the reunion, you can enjoy the indoor Pregame Homecoming Retro Rally and then cheer on your River Hawks at they take on the Western Michigan Broncos.

Gather your friends and family for a far-out evening of River Hawks hockey during Alumni Homecoming Night! All alumni and friends are invited for the game and the indoor Pregame Retro Rally, a funky throwback bash marking 50 years since the founding of our predecessor institution, the University of Lowell—which laid the foundation for the vibrant UMass Lowell we know today. Come dressed in your best disco threads and snag a special retro giveaway. Enjoy family-friendly activities, music, games, photos and ’70s trivia. Then, boogie on over to your seats to cheer on the River Hawks with fellow fans and show your school spirit!
