Diane has served as a student advocate, career coach, academic advisor and developer of new programs and initiatives for a number of public and private colleges and universities throughout the Northeast. After ten years at Middlesex Community, where she coordinated the career development efforts, she joined the Career Services Office at UMass Lowell in 2009 to develop the first, structured co-op program for undergraduates. Most recently, and working collaboratively with the Office of Veteran Affairs, a private foundation and local technology company, she is launching a co-op program specifically targeted for student veterans.
In all of her endeavors, Diane remains committed to the spirit of entrepreneurial, collaborative leadership and has been fortunate to be able to foster successful teams that contribute to student success and access to higher education.

Areas of Expertise/Professional Interests

Diane's areas of expertise reside in new program development, career coaching, and academic administration in higher education. In collaboration with faculty, she was instrumental in developing the initial pilot program for the UMass Lowell Professional Co-op program. She now directs the co-op initiative which engages over 600 undergraduate students, hundreds of employer partners, and serves multiple disciplines across three colleges. She is most excited to be part of a university program that transforms student learning, and significantly enhances student confidence and competence to tackle real world challenges.
