Research on face and fingerprint recognition uses the CMINDS NSF funded High Performance Distributed Computing Engine. The latency plot demonstrates that the processing time (in microseconds) required for recognition decreases dramatically as the number of distributed computing nodes is increased for any number of processing jobs.
A Distributed Real Time Content based Image Retrieval Technique
Distributed Database of Human Faces. A query image of a human nose is given and searched for in the distributed database. The face for the nose is retrieved.
Performance analysis of image retrieval with an increasing number of nodes and processes. Time is in microseconds and decreases as the number of nodes and processes increase.
Face retrieved from distributed database for query.
