Applying for Aid

Check out Your Guide to Financial Aid. This is a great resource to find information on many of the financial aid programs available to you!

Apply for aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

The FAFSA is now available October 1 and UMass Priority filing deadline is February 1.

You will now use your tax information from 2 years prior (e.i. for 2018-19 FAFSA, use 2016 taxes).

Avoid delays by using the IRS Data Retrieval Tool (DRT) on the FAFSA to report tax information.

You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view any pdf files. It can be download for free from the Adobe website.

Two Major Changes to the FAFSA for 2018-2019!

Students are able to file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) starting October 1 of each year!  Families will now report income tax information from an earlier tax year!

Be sure to file your FAFSA by our February 1 priority deadline.
