COVID-19 Updates

Important Summer and Fall 2020 Updates

Summer Work Positions

  • Financial Aid Work Program - Unfortunately, there are no financial aid awards for the summer at this time. No financial aid job postings will be accepted.
  • Departmental Summer Employment - There are few positions being offered at this time. Available positions are posted on JobHawk.

Fall Work Positions

  • The University announced re-opening plans on July 1, 2020. We are in the process of assessing Student Employment opportunities for the upcoming semester. Please check back for additional updates.

Unemployment Benefits/Pandemic Unemployment Assistance

Individuals enrolled as full-time students are typically excluded from eligibility for unemployment benefits. However, the Department of Unemployment Assistance (DUA) makes the determinations on benefits. The DUA provides information regarding unemployment benefits and has created a COVID-19 specific unemployment handbook. If your departmental position (non work study) ended due to COVID-19, you may be eligible for Pandemic Unemployment Assistance. This relief program ends on July 31, 2020. Please visit the mass.gov pandemic unemployment assistance site for details. Please note that the University does not determine eligibility for any of these benefit programs.

Off Campus Employment Opportunities

The Student Employment Office is continuing to review and add new Off-Campus employment opportunities on JobHawk. Ensure to monitor these opportunities that are continuously being added to JobHawk.
