Jim is a recent transplant to New England and began working at UMASS Lowell as of July 24, 2017. Born and raised in Ohio, Jim attended Kent State University where he earned two degrees: a bachelors of science degree in secondary education (biology), and a masters of education in higher education administration and student personnel. Jim has over 16 years of full-time experience working in residence life and housing where he has held various leadership position. Additionally, Jim was a RA for 3.5 years during his time as an undergraduate at Kent State. Jim’s work interest areas include but are not limited to: staff selection and training, social justice and inclusion, the student living and learning experience, and uses of technology to improve student experiences and work productivity.
