Living-Learning Communities (LLCs) provide students the opportunity to explore common interests with other students in their living environment. Through living and participating in an LLC, students will be provided with intentional and meaningful opportunities that will help them to make purposeful links between the academic and co-curricular components of their college experience.

First-Year Living-Learning Communities (LLCs) are intentional learning environments designed to help first-year students transition into college life, while helping them get connected with faculty, staff, their peers, as well as resources available to them offered by the various Colleges and Schools and Offices that enrich student learning both inside and outside of the classroom. We have 14 LLCs for First-Year students to choose from!
We have intentionally designed each LLC to provide unique support, resources and networking opportunities with students, staff and faculty. This creates bountiful opportunities for students to adjust to college life, find their niche, and build network of friends, staff and faculty who can support their success as a UMass Lowell student.
