Intersession Housing

During the summer, winter break and spring break, the majority of the residence halls are closed, and students are expected to move back home. Below is information on Intersession Options:

Winter Intersession:

If you wish to remain on campus over the summer you must review the terms and complete the 2016-2017 Winter Housing Application on the Online Housing Gateway under Housing Applications. Winter intersession housing is only available to residents with a current room assignment.

  • Session 1 (December 18 - January 1): $473
  • Session 2 (January 2 - January 14): $347
  • Full Winter Session (December 18 - January 14): $850

Residence Hall Options: Fox Hall, Leitch Hall, University Suites, Riverview East / West, 1301 Middlesex Street.

Apartment-Style Options: 725 Merrimack Street, Moody Street, East Meadow Lane, Princeton Reserve.

Meal Plan Options:

Students may utilize their current fall meal plan if they still have meals and points remaining. Points can be used from December 18 to January 1 at Crossroads. Remaining meals from the fall semester can be used at University Dining Commons beginning on January 3. If you have the Platinum or Gold Meal plans for the fall, your meals will be unlimited for winter break. If you were on the Silver Meal Plan and are out of meals or are not currently on a meal plan but wish to have one for winter break, please contact the Office of Residence Life to obtain one of the following options for the January 4 to January 16 time frame:

  • 10 Meal Plan for $150
  • 19 Meal Plan for $250

  • Crossroads:
    • 8 a.m. - 7 p.m. weekdays
    • 9 a.m. - 7 p.m. weekends
    • Closed: December 24 - 25 (Christmas Eve and Day) and December 31 - January 1, 2017 (New Years Eve and Day)
  • All other locations closed.

  • University Dining Commons:
    • 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. weekdays
    • 10 a.m. -7 p.m. weekends
  • Starbucks (North and South):
    • 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. weekdays
    • Closed weekends
  • Southwick:
    • 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. weekdays
    • Closed weekends
  • Crossroads:
    • 8 a.m. - 7 p.m. weekdays
    • 9 a.m. - 7 p.m. weekends

Summer Intersession

If you are a current resident wish to remain on campus over the summer you must review the terms and complete the summer housing contract on the Online Housing Gateway. If you have never lived on campus before, you will access the summer housing contract via this Summer Housing Contract.

If you are interning over the summer and are looking for housing in the Lowell Area please review the housing contract for interns, sign, complete it and return to the Office of Residence Life.

Residence Hall Options:

  • Housing in University Suites:
    • Session 1 (May 11 - June 27): $1,310
    • Session 2 (July 6 - August 22): $1,310
    • Full Summer Housing (May 10 – August 28): $2,560

Apartment-Style Options:

  • Housing in 725 Merrimack Street, Moody Street:
    • Session 1 (May 11 - June 27): $1,650
    • Session 2 (July 6 - August 22): $1,650
  • Full Summer Housing (May 11 – August 22): $3,300

Meal Plan Options:

  • 10 Meal Plan (Mandatory for students living in University Suites)
    • Session 1 (10 Meals Per Week at Fox Dining Hall; Plan ends June 27): $625
    • Session 2 (10 Meals Per Week at Fox Dining Hall; Plan ends August 26): $675
  • Full Summer (10 Meals Per Week at Fox Dining Hall; Plan ends August 26): $1250

Value Plan Option: (Any student can purchase or upgrade to this plan)

  • Session 1 (19 Meals Per Week at Fox Dining Hall; Plan ends June 27): $1050
  • Session 2 (19 Meals Per Week at Fox Dining Hall; Plan ends August 26: $1050
  • Full Summer (19 Meals Per Week at Fox Dining Hall; Plan ends August 26): $2100
