Paulette Renault-Caragianes has been with the university since 2015. In her role at UMass Lowell, Paulette’s primary responsibility is oversight and support of the Wellness Center. In addition she serves on a variety of committees and task forces in the University. She has been twice recognized as part of a team awarded one of the Chancellor’s Pillar awards.
She has also been named a distinguished alumni at Suffolk University. She is a member of the UMass Lowell chapter of Sigma Theta Tau and Alpha Sigma Lambda. Prior to assuming her current role at UML, Paulette worked as the Director of Public Health for the City of Somerville MA. She has also worked as Director of Adolescent Programs at Lowell Community Health Center, Director of Human Services for the City of Lowell, as well as working as a registered nurse specializing in Maternal Child Health.
She was previously the Chief Public Health Officer for the City of Somerville. Paulette lives in Lowell and has served on a number of not-for-profit boards in the City.
In addition to her academic credentials, Paulette has completed the LEND Fellowship Program based at the Shriver Center at UMass Medical School, as well as being a fellow in the Blue Cross Blue Shield Foundations Massachusetts Institute for Community Health Leadership.
