Regional Transit UCARD Program
UMass Lowell is excited to announce a new program with the LRTA and MVRTA, that will allow students and employees to ride for FREE! All you have to do is show your UMass Lowell UCARD.
LRTA Program Information
UMass Lowell student and employees can ride the LRTA for free. The LRTA (Lowell Regional Transit Authority) can be used to connect to downtown shops, and any destination in the service area.
You can see where the LRTA buses are and go by using the LRTA's GPS website
Where can I pick up an LRTA bus on campus?
North - University Ave. in front of Alumni Hall
South - Broadway Street Bus Stop
East - East Campus Bus Stop
East - Salem Street Bus Stop
MVRTA Program Information
The MVRTA (Merrimack Valley Regional Transit Authority) program is for routes 01 and 41, that connect, Haverhill, Lawerence, Methuen and Dracut to Lowell. UMass Lowell students and employees can now show a UMass Lowell UCARD and ride for FREE!
A new stop has been created at the UMass Lowell Inn & Conference Center, the MVRTA will now drop and pickup on the top of the Inn & Conference Center driveway on Warren Street, near the parking garage.
