It is important for students to get involved on campus because it molds their college experience. Not only do you get to participate in different activities and events but you also get to build a community on your campus.
I can honestly say that I am the outstanding leader I am today because of the leadership opportunities given to me by the Office of Student Activities and Leadership. They helped me realize my potential and put it to good use. I have gained confidence, knowledge, wisdom and strength through them. My understanding of people and communication skills have improved and I have gained a level of professionalism I did not have before. I have come to know who I am as a person because of them and I am proud to be a Riverhawk.
