In Fall 2016, OMA launched a 3-part series called Active Ally Campaign. Eleven students contributed to sharing their thoughts with the campus community.
Each segment highlighted a different part of a student’s narrative and experience, with the last part delineating why they are an ally. The first piece centers around the student’s various identities that may or may not be visible. The second is about what they stand against in terms of an injustice or oppression. The third part is entitled "My Story" and features a moment or experience that shaped the participant's perspective around that particular oppression and why they became motivated to speak out/stand up to become an ally.
