Fall Semester Intergroup Dialogue: Race & Ethnicity Series
Members of the university community are invited to participate in dialogue experiences for the Fall 2021 semester. Each session is designed to be a one-time, standalone dialogue activity focused on a different topic within the area of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Checking In: Understanding our Reactions and Responses in a new semester: October 14, 2021, 1 to 2 p.m.
About a month through a new semester…in more ways than one, the Inter Group Dialogue team welcomes all to a check in. What’s working well? Where do you feel challenged? What does community mean to you, and what do you need as the semester continues?
What is Intergroup Dialogue?
Created by the Division of Student Affairs Equity & Inclusion Strategic Infusion Team, intergroup dialogue creates a purposeful space for participants of various identity groups to have deep, intentional conversations to explore the impact of commonalities and differences on the various scales of living (personal, cultural, institutional, etc.) while developing skills and a broader capacity to discuss and work with difference related to self and others.
Additional Inclusion & Social Justice Training Opportunities:
There are a variety of additional training and dialogue opportunities sponsored by other areas of the university.
