During my time at UMass Lowell, I attended events such as the Career Fair and Biotech Night. I attended numerous workshops such as Career Café for Resumes, LinkedIn Workshop, Interviewing Workshops and Financial Planning for the New Professional. I met with several different career counselors and received tips on my resume, registered for the Mass Life Sciences Internship Challenge, Co-Op opportunities and more.
I utilized the services of the Career & Co-op Center frequently and I found the experiences quite useful. Currently, I am a Manufacturing Associate at Lonza Biologics. My plans, at the moment, are to remain in my technical role and industry.
My advice to students today is participate in clubs/extracurricular activities. Being well-rounded will build a great rapport and make a candidate positively stand out amongst their competition.
