The Career Services & Cooperative Education Center at UMass Lowell offers many opportunities for employers to meet, attract and hire our students, as well as to contribute to their career development. We invite you to participate in ways that are most closely aligned with your needs for recruiting, marketing, and visibility.
On- Campus Recruiting
Employers can post job/internship/co-op opportunities and receive student resumes electronically at UMass Lowell through our on-campus recruiting program, called CareerLINK. We schedule on-campus interviews at your convenience mid-September through early December, and mid-February through May. Call 978-934-2355 or e-mail us to arrange interview times and space. If you are unable to visit campus to interview candidates, CareerLINK allows for online resume drops for UMass Lowell students who wish to apply for your openings.
If you would like to post opportunities and/or schedule interviews with UMass Lowell students, please call our office at 978-934-2355 to open your UMass Lowell CareerLINK account or go directly to our CareerLINK employer login page to set up your own account.
Information sessions are scheduled at your convenience. Typically, students anticipate and appreciate info sessions when they precede your on-campus recruiting date.
Career Events & Programs
Participation in and sponsorship of events provides additional visibility for your company. If you are interested in sponsoring any other event or participating in a program, please contact us .
The Career & Co-op Center hosts several career fairs throughout the academic year. At least two of these events are large all-major fairs attracting approximately 1,000 students and 150 employers seeking applicants for internships, co-ops, summer and full-time positions. Other fairs are more discipline specific; for example, we offer a Nonprofit & Government Fair, an Accounting Fair, and Professional Co-op Connections events. More information is available online
or by calling us at 978-934-2355.
What Can I Do With this Major?
Major-focused, panel discussions provide an opportunity for students to learn about the real world from a panel of experts - professionals who are willing to share their career decisions, transitions and experiences. Date and majors based on arrangements with faculty members.
Dine & Dress for Success
A perennial student favorite, Dine & Dress for Success is a fun and informative evening of etiquette coaching during a four-course meal. Employers are invited to sponsor a table at the event and share their advice related to interviewing and dining etiquette, as well as information about their organizations.
Professional Practice Interviews
Employers are invited to step into the role of career counselor for a morning, afternoon or both. Students "apply" for a practice interview, are video-recorded in this 20-30 minute practice, and are provided immediate feedback on their interview. This is a popular program among students and we are always trying to expand the number and type of professionals who generously volunteer to assist in the professional development of our students.
Students learn about specific jobs, career tracks for different majors, and industries from professionals in a variety of fields. Again, we appreciate your participation in helping provide professional development for our students.
Career Services Awareness Events (September)
We offer a fun day of orientation and introduction to our office, services and resources. Local employers donate refreshments and raffle prizes to initially attract the students and to inform them of local opportunities.
If you have any questions about any of these events and services, or would like more information, please contact the Career & Co-op Team at 978-934-2355 or via email. We look forward to working with you.
