Alumni can easily find job search advice, links to recruiting employers and job search engines on our website. To fully access all online services, you must possess a Handshake account with the Career Services & Cooperative Education Center. Recent grads are maintained in our system for one year.
Handshake posts job opportunities from hundreds of employers across the nation. Posted opportunities include internships, co-ops and professional positions in a wide variety of industries, academic disciplines and functional areas.
Central to our home page is Hot News. Time-critical information regarding upcoming career events and deadlines – local, regional, and national – is updated frequently.
Job fairs and career events are designed to bring job seekers and employers together. Check out the Events/Information section on our website to learn the details of our next event.
A variety of career-related books, trade journals, directories and job-search handouts are available in our offices in University Crossing, Suite 450. Videos found on our website's home page include helpful information for interviewing effectively, preparing for job fairs, networking and other job search skills.
InterviewStream provides you with the opportunity to practice your interview skills – anywhere, anytime. You simply need a computer with internet connection and a webcam. InterviewStream is accessible from our home page. After recording (and re-recording as many times as you like), you have the option of choosing to email your results to email@example.com for a consultation with a career counselor.
You can search and review employer-posted job listings through the Career & Co-op Center's online recruiting system. Whenever you find a posting of interest, you can easily apply for the position, either by uploading and submitting a resume via the system, or by emailing application materials directly to the employer. Interested employers will contact you directly.
Employers may request the opportunity to review resumes of our recently graduated alumni up to one year post-graduation. Using the Career Services & Cooperative Education Center's online recruiting system, alumni can submit their resume to apply for jobs, learn whether they were selected for an interview and sign up for an interview time slot. The Career & Co-op Center hosts these employers in our offices for screening interviews.
An appointment with a career counselor can help with identifying marketable skills, development of a targeted career search strategy, and vocational testing or practice interviews. Alumni are welcome to make free unlimited career counseling appointments during their first year following graduation and up to three appointments per year thereafter.
