Join the next GE2 webinar on September 23 at 9 a.m. ET, with presenter Jose Godinez, Ph.D., UMass Lowell.

"Global Ethics: What Should Aspiring Entrepreneurs Know"

Ethics plays a key role in any business, particularly in new ones. Large and established businesses – especially those operating in developed countries – have established ethical codes and practices mainly due to regulatory and normative pressures. However, entrepreneurs in new businesses might not have yet established ethical programs. In this webinar, we will discuss the importance of business ethics with special emphasis on entrepreneurs. We will also analyze the most important aspects of sound business ethics programs that entrepreneurs should consider when growing their ventures.

Presenter: Jose Godinez is an assistant professor of management at the Manning School of Business at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. His research centers on strategies of firms operating in locations characterized by unstable institutional environments, especially those that present high corruption levels. He is also interested in understanding how institutional voids affect the development of strategies of firms targeting populations at the bottom of the pyramid within the CSR conversation.

Jose Godinez earned a Ph.D. in Management from the University of Edinburgh Business School, an MSc in International Business from the University of Manchester Business School, and a BS in Business Administration from the Johns Hopkins University.
