Biosketch

Clara I. Reynolds is the Associate Vice Chancellor for Equal Opportunity and Outreach and Diversity and Inclusion. She has oversight of the campus nondiscrimination and inclusion matters guarantee under the law and the university’s policies and procedures. She also serves as the University’s Title IX and ADA coordinator, and as the senior investigator and grievance officer for protected class complaints and reports. Clara reports to Lauren Turner, Senior Associate Vice Chancellor for HR and Organizational Effectiveness & Strategy. 
As the Title IX and ADA Coordinator, she is the designated agent of UMass Lowell with primary responsibility for leading and overseeing the application and review of university policies and practices and for guiding efforts to conceptualize, define, assess, nurture and cultivate goal in achieving an open, diverse and inclusive learning, living and working environment while ensuring compliance with Title IX, Title VII, VAWA, ADA and other state and federal levels. 
She also provides consultation for successful institutional diversity and inclusion outcomes in direct alignment with the strategic priorities and provides leadership in developing, connecting and partnering with the community in presenting UMass Lowell as a great place to work.  
Prior to her appointment, Reynolds was the Senior Manager, Diversity and Inclusion and Associate Director of Human Resources at UMass Medical School. Reynolds has a Juris Doctor degree from Suffolk University.
