Allyn Hayes McCourt is a conductor, violist, and baritone from Jamaica Plain, MA. Ecclectic and energetic, Allyn pushes his artistry and musical passion in every direction possible. Allyn continues to make strides in musical theater, opera, and conducting while also honing his abilities on the violin, viola, guitar and piano.

During his graduate studies at New England Conservatory of Music, Allyn studied under Dr. Ian Howell and worked with many esteemed directors and conductors - Crystal Manich, Christopher Larkin, Hugh Wolf, and Stephen Lord to name a few. Allyn is versed in Meisner acting technique, and has studied chamber performance, period dance, stage combat, foreign language, Renaissance improvisation and diction.

Allyn continues to strive as educator to promote the musical education of all urban students, regardless of socioeconomic status and continues to work towards that goal.
