Kristian Bodek has over a decade of experience analyzing and advising companies on emerging technologies and environmental policy in the power sector. As Director of Ventures at National Grid, he oversees the company’s participation in Energy Impact Partners, a collaborative strategic investment fund focused on new technology companies optimizing energy use and sustainable energy generation. Previously, Kristian worked for IHS Markit, a research and advisory firm, leading the company’s environmental technology, policy and market analysis of regulations like EPA’s Clean Power Plan and Mercury and Air Toxics Standards. At IHS Markit he also developed and chaired the CERAWeek Energy Innovation Pioneers program, a platform for introducing established players to the most innovative and distinctive new technology companies across the energy value chain. Kristian holds a BS in Physics from Bates College and MS degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Technology & Policy from MIT.
