This past academic year, Student Employment partnered with approximately 20 supervisors to pilot UMass Lowell GROW®. Modelled after Iowa GROW®, this program gives supervisors a structured model for having brief conversations with student employees about connections between what they are learning in the classroom and what they are learning at work, and vice versa. GROW® conversations have been shown to have many positive impacts on students.
