FERC and the Power Grid: How Electricity Markets Work

This CCI and EEAS seminar talk on Tuesday, February 24th at 4pm by Matthew Rolnick is titled FERC and the Power Grid: How Electricity Markets Work. He will introduce the roles of FERC, regional grid operators, and state regulators. Using simple examples and interactive discussion, this presentation helps participants understand how wholesale electricity markets function and set prices, who is responsible for what in the electricity system, and how informed engagement fits into existing regulatory processes.
