The Chinese New Year Celebration is an annual event organized to commemorate the Spring Festival, the most important traditional holiday in Chinese culture. It marks the beginning of the year according to the traditional Chinese lunar calendar, usually falling between late February. This festival is deeply rooted in family reunion, cultural heritage, and joyful rituals, featuring customs such as the reunion dinner, lion and dragon dances, red envelope exchanges, and lantern displays. Our celebration aims to bring this vibrant festival to campus, offering an opportunity for all students to experience Chinese traditions, enjoy festive performances and food, and engage in a warm, cross-cultural community gathering. We hope this event will not only celebrate the new lunar year but also promote cultural understanding and unity within our diverse campus community.
