Celebrating the legacy of the late Martin Luther King Jr. with our 13th Annual MLK Jr. Celebration. Asst. Professor of Sociology Chandra D.L. Waring is this year's keynote. As a recipient of an MLK Jr. Legacy scholarship award during her college career at UConn, much of her coursework and research connect to community action, engagement and social justice awareness as it relates to intersections of race and gender.
