Come join the UMass Lowell Kayak Center staff for a full day Intro to Kayaking course. This fun and informative full day program is recommended for beginner and intermediate kayakers looking to build a solid foundation of kayak touring skills. Our certified instructors will teach ACA Level 1 & Level 2 skills during this full day program. The basic curriculum for this course includes: personal preparation, the paddling environment, boat fit, equipment use, paddle strokes, maneuvers and recovery techniques. The day will unfold with shore and water based instruction sequenced out of UMass Lowell Boathouse.
