Kennedy College of Sciences Lecture on Science & Society

Dr. Emery N. Brown, M.D., Ph.D. will be delivering the Kennedy College of Sciences Lecture on Science and Society, sponsored by Eric (’68) and Lola Chaisson.  

Brown’s talk, Deciphering the Dynamics of the Unconscious Brain under General Anesthesia, will share how new information from the field of neuroscience can inform our understanding of the effects of different classes of anesthesia and across patients of different ages. 

Brown is the Edward Hood Taplin Professor of Medical Engineering and Computational Neuroscience at MIT; the Warren M. Zapol Professor of Anaesthesia at Harvard Medical School; and an anesthesiologist at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH).
