Orchestra Concert

University Orchestra will give its traditional Halloween concert. A performance of Beethoven’s masterful and celebrated 7th Symphony starts the program and will surely get your inspirational juices flowing. The concert’s second half is Halloween themed: Mars, the Bringer of War (from ‘The Planets’); Funeral March for a Marionette; another kind of funeral march from Mahler’s 1st Symphony; a rendering of a poem to improvised orchestra, read by Barry Long, and with percussion soloist Andy Fordyce; and… ARRRR… Pirates of the Caribbean.  Wear your finest costume! We will! Mark Latham directs.

**All concert attendees are expected to be vaccinated and masks must be worn while in the building**
