The UMass Lowell Police Department may use our own or the canine of a regional partner to further the mission of public safety at UML. A police canine team will consist of a specially trained officer working with a trained dog. Their missions could be related to: search and rescue, alerting on prohibited items, crowd management or comfort and support.
