COVID-19 Impacts: Shared Responsibility for Keeping Healthy & Safe

  • Anyone coming to campus is expected to comply with the Massachusetts Travel Order, which indicates that if you have traveled to a non-exempt state you are required to have a negative COVID-19 test or quarantine for 14 days prior to returning to campus.

  • Before coming to campus or leaving your room each day, please complete the daily symptom checklist.
  • If you are experiencing symptoms, have tested positive or have been deemed to be a close contact of someone who has tested positive, please do not come to campus.
    -- Residential students or those attending courses on campus should call the COVID line at 978-934-COV2 (2682) or email Student_SymptomReporting@uml.edu to talk to a healthcare professional. 
    -- Students residing off campus or taking virtual/online classes should contact a health care professional.
    -- Employees should contact their supervisors and email the COVID-19 HR Response Team at COVID19HR@uml.edu or call Kim Casey at 978-934-3557.
  • Social distancing  of six feet is expected.
  • Face coverings must be worn indoors, including in classrooms, laboratories and open office spaces, and outdoors when six feet of social distancing cannot be maintained.

  • If you have tested positive or been in close contact as deemed by the Board of Health and live in Massachusetts, you will be contacted by the MA COVID team (pdf).
