Transfer Admissions, TRiO visits
M.S. in College Student Development and Counseling, Northeastern University
After spending a number of years in Freshman admissions at UMass Lowell, I have made the transition over to Transfer admissions. I enjoy meeting with students one-on-one to discuss their options and whether UMass Lowell is the right fit for them as they consider their next steps.
What’s the Best Thing about UMass Lowell?
I love the students! Our students are industrious, caring, and involved both in the classroom, in the community, and in the world at large. I love that we have students from all over the world on campus to share their experiences and create a dynamic community.
Advice for Applicants:
Fully explore the major that you are interested in pursuing. What can you do with that major? What classes will you be taking? Use the resources that are available to you online, like Career Services and the Centers for Learning. Also, explore ways to get involved on campus. Are there student organizations that pique your interest? Intramural sports? Jobs on campus that you are interested in pursuing? It’s all part of finding the right campus for you and making the most out of it.
