UMass Lowell offers over 120 undergraduate majors and a seamless, affordable and supportive transfer experience.

UMass Lowell has more than 120 undergraduate majors to choose from. In addition, nearly a dozen UML majors overlap with Becker College majors.

For First-Year Students:

Students who have been admitted to Becker College for fall 2021, and who have not previously applied for admission to UMass Lowell, will be offered an application fee waiver as well as an expedited admission process. Students will be considered for admission on a case-by-case basis.

For students previously admitted to UMass Lowell, we are providing the chance to reconsider your acceptance of your offer of admission.

For Transfer Students:

We can offer instant admission to most students in good standing—and provide an on-the-spot review of your transferable credits. UMass Lowell will be flexible in applying exceptions to our academic policies in order to accommodate students’ previous coursework.

  • Grants, scholarships and student loans are available for students who qualify.
  • Work opportunities via on-campus jobs are offered through federally funded programs. There are numerous off-campus jobs as well.
  • Paid co-ops and internships are available through our Career Services office.
  • Alternative financing options through outside loans, Federal Plus loans, Massachusetts Educational Financing Authority (MEFA) and ROTC are also available.

About half of our graduates attend another school before coming to UMass Lowell, so we know how to work with transfer students. We will meet you where you are, take the time to understand your concerns and get you back on track toward earning your degree.
