Project Timeline

University Relations is staffed by communications and design professionals who work closely with you to meet your goals. We will develop a production schedule based on your preferred completion date, the scope of the project and resource availability. If we cannot meet your timeline or if your project is not appropriate for University Relations, we will tell you and suggest alternative options.

Print collateral: six to eight weeks, for projects such as

  • Brochures
  • Trifolds
  • Posters
  • Reports
  • Direct mailers
  • Popup displays
  • Banners

Web site building: two to four weeks. More time is needed for new web applications or programming.

Evites: minimum two weeks prior to RSVP date (which is often two weeks prior to the event date).

Media Relations: at least one month prior to event.

Social media, Hawki monitors, Today@UMass Lowell require less time but are more effective the sooner you can advertise your event.

Photography: minimum of one week to schedule for an event. 

Videography: minimum of three weeks for production depending on the nature and complexity of the subject and scheduling.
