By Meghan Burke

What is TEDx? TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x=independently organized TED event.

On April 27th, TEDxLowell will be taking place at the United Teen Equality Center in Lowell, right next to the ICC. What makes TEDxLowell unique is that it is organized almost entirely by local students.

We'll be hosting a wide variety speakers from all industries, including a comedy mentalist, a HGTV show host, successful UMass Lowell student entrepreneurs, the former mayor of Lowell, and more!

More information about our event can be found at www.tedxlowell.com, and tickets can be purchased through eventbrite. The event is open to the public, so make sure to bring your family and friends!
