We work with assistant professors to chart their path towards tenure and with associate professors to focus on achieving full professorship and other major career achievements.
In these workshops, participants work in peer groups and with seasoned mentors to develop career development strategies for intentionally navigating their career trajectory. They will use strategic career mapping tools to identify skills, activities, and people that will support their individualized professional advancement.
In 2021-2022, the workshops will take place over two sessions. The first session introduces the career mapping tools and mentors provide tips for initial planning. The second session allows participants to receive feedback from mentors on their completed career mapping plans. We ask that participants attend both sessions.
The workshop for early career faculty and postdocs occurs in the fall semester and the workshop for mid-career/tenured faculty occurs in the spring semester.
The Career Mapping workshops are sponsored by the Office of Research and Innovation.
