Mechanics and physics of materials, composites, and structures under extreme conditions, including high strain-rate, high pressure, and low and high temperatures Theoretical and practical potentials, applications, and limitations of metamaterials and gradient media Mechanics and physics of biological materials, in particular brain and muscle tissues Use of structure-property relations to develop new materials (polymeric, ...) from molecular level up
