Each year, the Faculty Symposium includes several sessions of Lightning Talks.

Lighting Talks are 90-second presentations of your research efforts, teaching innovations, creative works, or community engagement projects. You can also pitch an idea or reach out to potential collaborators on an existing or future project. Your audience will include various members of the UMass Lowell community: faculty members from across the disciplines, deans, department chairs, and staff.

Format

Lightning Talk presenters have the option of preparing a PowerPoint slide that will be displayed during the 90-second presentation. Given the brevity of the presentation, a single slide is recommended. We also do not recommend adding video to your slide. We will not be able to play any audio.

Registration

Please register to present a lightning talk as soon as possible, but no later than Thursday, November 23. On the form, you will be able to select your available times to present and submit a presentation slide, if preferred.
