2020 Virtual Student Symposium presentation viewing & Voting

UMASS LOWELL VIRTUAL STUDENT SYMPOSIUM YOUTUBE CHANNEL VIEWING PERIOD: APRIL 27-APRIL 29, 2020

Student presentation videos will be available for public viewing on the UMass Lowell Virtual Student Symposium YouTube Channel  from April 27, 8 a.m. - April 29, 2020 at midnight.

Viewers will be able to post questions and comments on individual presentation videos using the YouTube comment feature. Presenters are expected to monitor and respond to questions and comments throughout the viewing period.

Voting

There are two rounds of voting:

  • Round 1: The UMass Lowell Virtual Symposium YouTube Channel viewing audience will have the opportunity to vote on each presentation video (Fan Favorite voting via the "like" button), using the judging rubric as a guide. Read more about the judging rubric. Presentation videos from each college that garner the most "like" votes will will be designated as the finalists. Finalists will advance to Round 2 of voting.
  • Round 2: In this round, a panel of 2-3 UMass Lowell judges will review the finalist presentation videos, scoring each video using the judging rubric. An average score will be calculated for each presentation video to determine the winning presentation video(s) from each college.
