Student Research and Community Engagement Symposium

About the Symposium

On Tuesday, April 22, 2014 from 12-5 p.m., the Vice Provost for Research will host the 17th Annual Student Research and Community Engagement Symposium at the ICC. This event provides a venue for UMass Lowell undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students in all disciplines to present their current research work in poster presentations to their peers, faculty, judges and guests. In the past, students have presented:
  • Creative work
  • Internship & Co-Op research experience
  • Community service-learning
  • Study abroad
  • Research
  • Entrepreneurship
The symposium is a half-day event consisting of reception, humanities panels and poster presentations with judging. Each college will have winners announced for best poster based on number of submissions (at least one winner for each college, but could be more based on number of submissions for each college). The symposium is a showcase of some of the finest scholarly and creative work on campus and as such should be regarded as a professional commitment. Students planning on participating must be able to attend the event to present their poster. Please follow the links below for detailed information:
