A Vision for Progress: M2D2 Companies Moving in!

On Thursday, September 22, 2011, The Massachusetts Medical Device Development Center (M2D2) opened its new medical device business incubator / accelerator facility at the UMass Lowell Wannalancit Technology & Office Center, 600 Suffolk Street, Lowell MA  01854.  The opening was celebrated with a Grand Opening/Ribbon Cutting celebration.  

On hand to dedicate the new space was University of Massachusetts Lowell Chancellor Martin Meehan, Jay Gonzalez, Secretary, of Massachusetts Executive Office for Administration and Finance, Senator Eileen Donoghue, State Representative Thomas Golden and Thomas Sommer, President of MassMEDIC. Also, as part of the speaking program was the M2D2 directors and Charles Leahy, co-founder of Vista Scientific LLC.

Tours of the new space as well as an M2D2 Inventor and Researcher Poster session was held.

The new facility is open for business and features state of the art wet labs, private offices, and flexible cubicle space.  Start-up companies and entrepreneurs can license the space they need from M2D2 and focus on growing their medical device from idea to fruition.  Please see our M2D2 start-up facilities page.
