About T1D Exchange

T1D Exchange is recognized leader in global medical and research community.

Despite many advances in the treatment of type 1 diabetes, most patients struggle to meet recommended HbA1c goals, insulin replacement is still the only effective treatment and living with the condition remains a tremendous quality-of-life and financial burden.

T1D Exchange was born out of the need to build a dynamic, multi-purpose, real-world patient data platform that provides researchers seamless access to aggregated clinical, biological, patient-reported outcomes and electronic health record data, all while fostering collaboration among patients, physicians, researchers and industry. The goal is to speed the research process and direct novel treatments and clinical care that will meet unmet needs in type 1 diabetes (T1D). T1D Exchange has completed several intervention studies and has helped successfully accelerate a new formulation of glucagon into a potentially game-changing approach to the treatment of severe hypoglycemia.

Upon selection of the Companies receiving awards, each Company will negotiate with M2D2 and T1D and the appropriate Program Sponsors to define the term and terms of incubation including the specific in-kind services to be provided and the requirements for such.
